This year and until the end of 2022, the Carrières de Lumières in Les Baux de Provence will honor the work of the Aix painter Paul Cezanne through a new immersive digital exhibition that looks back at some 600 paintings and 400 watercolors of the Master of Provence.
The new digital and immersive exhibition at the Carrières de Lumières presents the most significant masterpieces of Cezanne (1839-1906) such as his still lifes with apples, The Card Players (1890-95) and The Large Bathers (circa 1906).
It is like a great journey through nature towards Provence and the Sainte-Victoire in an exceptional place close to a superb village, to visit, in the heart of the Alpilles massif.
The first part is dedicated to the painter Vassily Kandinsky. It presents a creation of about ten minutes made from the works of the prolific and visionary artist. Painter-poet, art theorist and founder of abstract art, Kandinsky revolutionized the history of art with his numerous compositions which are now exhibited throughout the world.
