“Les Jardins de Baracane” are peacefully situated inside the medieval city walls, so guests can explore the Papal City and the famous Pont d’Avignon on foot.
The mansion lies within the walls, just a ten-minute walk from the Palais des Papes and close to the Place des Corps Saints and the Rue des Teinturiers with its famous waterwheels. It is within easy reach of the bustle of the Festival with all its theatres and is surrounded by dozens of churches, chapels and beautiful mansions.
The house is the perfect place for a getaway in a special architectural and cultural environment where history and heritage go hand in hand with elegance.

A romantic weekend, a business trip, a family holiday or maybe a city break (with some shopping thrown in, perhaps) ... whatever the reason for your visit, we look forward to welcoming you to our five guest rooms.
Since the property’s garden is its star attraction, we have named the Jardins de Baracane's five rooms after five beautiful gardens... Take a look
The new owners, Olivier and Laurence, were very professional, kind and most considerate of our travel needs. Whatever we needed, they were willing and able to assist. Our stay was outstanding, mostly due to their kindness. We loved everything about this place and can hardly wait to go back again ! Trudy & Howard - USA - May 2017 (booking)
Thank you so much to Olivier and his Wife for their amiability. Since we arrive to Les Jardins de Baracane everything was a greatfull surprise. The house, the garden but very specially the human atention every moment. A lovely place with a very cute atmosphere. Best regards. Carmen and Rafa. From north of Spain, Santander, sept. 17
Kostenloser Parkplatz in 3 Minuten Entfernung. Wirklich empfehlenswert
Beautiful property tucked into a side street near all the sights in historical central Avignon. The owners are fantastic. Very nice and accomodating. Insisted on helping us with diner reservations. One of, if not the top, location we stayed on our trip. Just wish we had stayed longer. Nick - USA - May 2017 (booking)
We stopped in to see if the B&B had a room for us. Olivier was extremely friendly and helpful. We were unable to stay but Olivier went above and beyond and helped us find another place to stay in Avignon. Thank you so much Olivier. Mike, oct 19
We never wanted to leave. From the moment we stepped into the gorgeous house and magical garden, Olivier and Laurence were more than mere hosts; they became fast-friends who took such wonderful care of us and treated us like family who had come for a visit. They provided us with spot-on restaurant recommendations and even invited us to attend an arts festival performance that they hosted in their garden: a delightful experience we will always remember. We loved sitting by and in the pool each afternoon, and I did my fair share of taking naps in the beautiful shade. With the ancient buildings on all sides and trees canopying the garden, the real world seemed so far away - yet all of the treats of Avignon were just out the front door and around the corner. This is one special place, and Olivier and Laurence are special people. Neil & Eileen, USA, july 19
Our stay at les Jardins de Baracane was like stepping back in time into the walled medieval city of Avignon. Situated on a narrow street, with two potted plants marking the entrance to this lovely and enchanting home, we received such a warm greeting from our host that we quickly forgot the difficulty we had finding it. The garden offered a relaxing respite from the bustle of the popular tourist destination, with little suprises at every turn of the path. Breakfast was wonderful, prepared by our host with plenty of fresh offerings. It was difficult to say goodbye. Holly - USA- June 2017 (booking)
Thank you so much for a wonderfully relaxing long weekend : lovely room, the warmest of welcomes and hearty breakfasts... we’d love to have spent a bit longer in the magnificent garden but, unfortunately, time didn’t allow. Another time, perhaps. Agnès & Sylvain - France - March 2017 (guests book)
Dear Olivier and Laurence, You are the perfect hosts and we thank you very much for making us feel so at home in your beautiful home! We had a fantastic time. We will definitely be back and will recommend Les Jardins de Baracane to everyone at home in London and South Africa (so you might well have a South African 'Marais' visit!😀!) Colette & Duncan - South Africa - April 2017 (walkinn)
Our hosts, Olivier and Laurence, charmed us with their warm hospitality when we had the good fortune to spend a weekend in their delightful historical home with its beautiful garden. We enjoyed spacious accommodations in an intimate setting of considerable historical and artistic interest, a relaxed and friendly welcome, lush gardens filled with unexpected surprises, a hearty breakfast with many choices, modern bathrooms supplied with luxurious towels and toiletries, and, above all, hosts that were born to welcome and care for their guests. One memorable touch: when the cold wind of the mistral rose up unexpectedly (by us), Olivier offered to lend one his sweaters. Our stay chez Olivier et Laurence helped to turn a pleasant weekend in Avignon into a cherished memory. Thank you. Pamela & Edward, Canada, oct 17 (tripadvisor)
